Real Bride: Maisie wearing Romantica gown ‘Hayley’
I was so happy when Maisie agreed to write about her experience and share her beautiful images. Maisie came to me in March looking for her wedding dress, very nervous and a little anxious about the whole experience. But with the support and love from her gorgeous family and a little time spent learning about her day, her hopes and fears it soon turned into a very joyful time with the absolute delight of finding the magical ‘One”.
Thank you so much Maisie for firstly coming to see me and secondly for taking the time and effort to do this. Eternally grateful xoxo
I was overthinking everything before the appointment at Lavender & Jude. Will I find the right one? What do I even like? How do you put on a wedding dress?
The minute I walked into the Southwold studio and began speaking with Claire, my worries disappeared. I knew I was in safe hands and I’d picked the perfect place. Claire asked a few quaetions to get to know me, then picked a few dresses for me and off we went to the dressing room.
I didn’t know what I wanted, but the second I put on the dress, I felt something special. It was that kind of excitement that makes you shiver. I looked like the most beautiful version of me I’d ever seen and I was standing in a dress that I never would have picked for myself in a million years. Claire also found me a beautiful long veil and some gorgeous shoes which were so comfortable all day and night!
My advice for future brides searching for ‘The Dress’ is to enjoy this experience and moment, and absolutely try on the dresses you wouldn’t usually go for. It’s all part of the fun, and you may just find the one!!
