Beth first visited Lavender & Jude in August 2023 when the shop was in Bungay. We had a gorgeous appointment that soon established that arms were to be covered and movement were of the paramount importance. So with that in mind we tried options with A-line skirts, pockets and sleeves. A return visit, this time to the spanking new Southwold studio saw Beth trying on and absolutely loving the very gorgeous Florence by Wendy Makin. Accompanied by her lovely mum and grandmother Beth was able to make her decision and have that glorious “Say Yes To The Dress” moment. Fast forward to August 2024 and I have the pleasure of sharing Beths beautiful images and words. I cannot thank Beth enough for doing this for me and hopefully being the first of many brides to provide wonderful insight and real life experiences that will help many brides-to-be on a simliar jouney.

I chose this dress because when I knew I was going to be a bride, I wasn’t going to be someone that went for glitz and sparkle. I knew I wanted to feel regal and elegant. I was really worried about trying dresses on and not ever finding ‘the one’. When I put this dress on, I got the magic feeling in my tummy, I felt absolutely beautiful. I loved putting my dress on in the morning and I was so confident for the whole day. It was wonderful to look back at the pictures and be reminded of this

My Advice is try on loads of different styles, even things you think you might hate. The dress I ended up with was not on my Pinterest board, but it was perfect for me. If you are somebody that isn’t hugely body confident, do your research about where you go, Lavender & Jude made em feel welcome and valued. It made the whole process so special and when I reflect on it, it was an amazing point in the build up to my wedding.
