Real Bride Jazmin wearing Richard Designs ‘Reverie’

I am so happy to include this gorgeous wedding in my Bridal Inspiration blog. Having met Jazmin when I dressed her beautiful sister Leah, I knew this would be a fun, relaxed, and ultimately heartfelt wedding.

Jazmin and I had messaged before the appointment, sharing images of dresses that she loved the idea of. Having tried on dresses similar to her favourites, she felt a little despondent when they didn't make her think 'Wow'. Knowing Jazmin wanted to look elegant and glamorous, also mindful of a changing body, a busy mum with three gorgeous boys and adding the pressure of wanting to look incredible, plan a wedding and run an already hectic life!

Needless to say, with the support of her fabulous sisters and mum and a little bit of Lavender & Jude magic, I completely ignored the original brief of a-line skirt and glitz and chose something that I knew would cinch in that gorgeous waist, skim hips and truly flatter a fab figure—giving Jazmin confidence and comfort. I will never forget the look on Jazmin's face when she first tried her dress and the tears shared by all of us when she came out and showed her family. Right, there is the reason I do my job; I love that fantastic moment when the bride feels that this is the dress I will wear on my wedding day. Incredible!

Thank you so much Jazmin, for coming to Lavender & Jude xoxo

So here, in Jazmin’s own words, is her story.

When it came to finding my dress I had a picture in my head of exactly what I wanted………. Claire really listened to me, asked me loads of questions and just got it SO right! My dress was never one I thought I would wear on my wedding day, but I felt how I’d always dreamt of feeling. Beautiful, elegant, classy, confident and comfortable! It was actually a really emotional moment because I feel Claire just really felt everything I was saying, really understood me, and by the way she made me feel I can just tell she loves her job so much! And she’s absolutely amazing at what she does. Thank you, Claire, for everything. My wedding day wouldn’t have been the way it was without you and your lovely words and help finding my gorgeous dress!

Top Tips about shopping for your dress….

  1. Don’t rely on family’s reactions and opinions; when you know you will feel it.

  2. Don’t be afraid to go out of your comfort zone and try something you’d never think to wear, because it’s likely you will fall in love with something you never thought you would.

  3. Don’t look at wedding dresses after you’ve picked the one! You will doubt yourself! (You picked that dress for a reason)
