Block Heels for your wedding day

Block heels are the ideal choice for brides on their wedding day, especially for outdoor ceremonies where sinking in grass is not an option. They provide a comfortable and versatile heel option that many brides love. This article explores various options including heel height, closed or open-toe designs, materials like lace, leather, satin, dyeable satin and platform. Featuring shoes from the British-based 'The Perfect Bridal Company', all the mentioned options are available for online orders on the website. Please note that prices mentioned were accurate at the time of publication, but they are subject to change.

Low Heel

Low block heeled sandals and shoes are the perfect choice if you know you want a more formal shoe but, for many reasons, cannot wear a higher heel on your wedding day. They offer comfort and support while still featuring beautiful embellishments, making them a lovely addition to your bridal look. Opting for a lower heel ensures all-day comfort, crucial for the long hours you'll spend in them. Consider your partner's height too - towering over them might not be the look you're going for. The venue plays a role as well; for outdoor weddings, a low block heel is a smart choice. Styles like Riley and Fiona are even dyeable, allowing you to match your wedding shoes with your favorite color palette.

Mid Block Heel

So you know you want a heel but not a high heel. All the above shoes are around the 7cm mark. Which if you’re not used to wearing heels is comfortable especially with the added stability of a block heel. The ever popular ankle strap design means you can add tulle or satin bows and jewelled straps to elevate your bride style with Perfect Bridal Companies shoe accessories. Pearls are a huge trend which is here to stay and the gorgeous Carrie with its pearl encrusted front strap is such a classic and the perfect partner to a Cathedral length pearl scatter veil adorning a simple crepe wedding gown. Timeless elegance.

High Block Heels

You know you love a heel but you want an outdoorsy wedding and you don’t want to loose that valuble height by sinking in the grass. Welcome the high block heel. Above are options with platform and without and all about 10cm’s in height. I personally love a bit of a platform as it offers fab height but is also super comfy. Metallic leather sandals such as the truly gorgeous Birdie have a wonderful colour and texture that will pop with a simpler satin or crepe wedding gown and also if you are looking for a shoe that you can wear after the wedding Birdie will look equally fab with a pair of wide leg jeans on a night out as she did with your beautiful wedding gown.

Paloma also offers a platform but in a dyeable satin which gives you the option to dye to a colour of your choice or adorn with a gorgeous detachale bow.

Pretty Arabella comes with the oversize bow on the ankle strap and without the platform, perfect with a tea length dress or a fab wedding jumpsuit.

Kiera is a real favourite with my brides. The crossover strap offers support and the satin point toe is a classy look peeping out of a delicate lace gown.

All the shoes mentioned are available to order on the website. If you have your dress and have fittngs coming up but still don’t have your shoes you are more than welcome to book an accessory appointment . Bring your dress to the shop (don’t worry you don’t need to have bought your dress from me) and together we can work out the perfect style shoe for you.
