Frequently Asked Questions

Have a question? If we haven’t covered everything then please feel free to ask!

When should I start looking for my dress?

Our brides start looking anything between 15 months to a year ahead of the Big Day. Some brides will look a bit further ahead and some find they only have 4 weeks (in which case we have some fab sample gowns which are ready to go!).

Do I need an appointment?

Appointments are always welcome, it’s great to know who is coming so we are prepared.

Appointments are particularly good if you’re short of time as we can plan in advance – or, conversely, if you want to make an ‘event’ of the occasion. Bring Mum and a friend and really make the most of the experience.

How long do I get and is the changing room private or shared?

We usually like to allow at least 2 hours for your first appointment and the changing area is exclusively for you and your party.

Do I need to bring anything with me to my appointment?

Strictly, no, but a good strapless bra is really useful. We have shoes you can use for the appointment.

I have found THE DRESS. Now what happens?

Once you are 100% sure you have found your perfect gown, we ask for a 50% deposit (this is non-refundable). The gown is then ordered.

This can take anything from 4 months to 7 months depending on make and any special orders.

Once the gown arrives we ask that the balance be paid and the gown can stay at the shop at no extra charge until the week of the wedding.

Are alterations included in the price?

The simple answer is no.

We charge each bride individually and make sure that she is 100% happy before she takes her gown away. Please make sure you have the correct underwear for your fitting and the shoes you will be wearing on the day.

You are under no obligation to use our seamstress.
